/by amelia boehMarc Thureau-Dangin is a fourth-year Film and Television major. His thesis takes the art form of a 12-minute short narrative film. The film displays characters exploring their gender and beauty conventions while facing age and grief. His research explores the hormonal changes happening in middle age and their consequences. Both menopause for persons with a female reproductive system and the less-known andropause that impacts people with a male reproductive system. Taking inspiration from this research in the subtext of the film, Marc tells the tale of a couple getting in limbo until reaching a catharsis that breaks gender roles. This film enters one of Marc's ambitions to start a talk around masculinity in the hope of redefining it and opening a dialog on gender codes and gender-coded education. Marc also shares interests in contemporary art. He intends to work as a director, producer, and art curator in Los Angeles, and also in his hometown Paris.
