Lauren Evelyn Enge
Lauren Enge is a fourth–year undergraduate majoring in Political Science with a minor in Professional Writing. Her departmental honors thesis involves an application of Elisabeth Noelle–Neumann’s “spiral of silence” theory to student opinions on transgender student–athletes. Under the guidance of Professor Susanne Lohmann, Lauren’s research seeks to highlight a diverse group of student opinions and their willingness to express such views publicly. Outside of her research, Lauren is a Senior Editor for the Undergraduate Law Journal and works as a Course Reader for Political Science 60 and 115D each Spring. She is also the founder and president of Woof On Campus, a 501(C)(3) non–profit dedicated to connecting college students to rescued animals in need. Presently, Lauren works as a legal assistant for a boutique plaintiff–side employment law firm and hopes to someday pursue a career in civil rights law. This Spring, she will graduate with both college and departmental honors.
