Jester Mediano

Jester is a fourth year / second year Anthropology transfer student from Riverside, CA. His research concerns vagueness in legislation that targets the education of trans people in the United States. He hopes to understand, examine, and reveal how legislation in the U.S intentionally creates vagueness in order to overreach in the lives of trans students. He hopes to reveal the legislation’s practical enforcement and how it affects trans students. Through this project he aims to study the anti-trans legislation proposed by three key states: Florida, Missouri, and Alabama. These states have the most anti-trans laws that were proposed in the years 2021 – 2022. After graduation, Jester aims to pursue graduate school, researching language and gaming. In his free time, Jester enjoys hiking, playing Overwatch, and watching cartoons.
