Fiona Osborn

Fiona Osborn is a fourth-year student at UCLA studying Geography and Environmental Studies, with a minor in GIS. Her research focuses on agricultural expansion and land cover change in the Brazilian tropical savanna, with a focus on the impacts this has on social vulnerability in the region. This project incorporates her interests of using spatial technologies to understand human interactions with the environment and address environmental issues. Prior to this project, she has done work on issues such as environmental justice in local hazard mitigation plans and the relationship between biodiversity and scale in urban areas. Outside of academics, Fiona is an editor for the health and wellness publication Total Wellness Magazine.
