Alexis Destiny Wince
Alexis Wince is a fourth-year undergraduate from Los Angeles, CA. She transferred from Santa Monica College to UCLA with an Associate in Arts in Sociology for Transfer (AA-T) earning the Dean's Honor List. Alexis is passionate about researching, as she has taken on many research opportunities during her time at UCLA including Research Revealed, Summer Research Incubator, and now completing a sociological departmental thesis, with the help of her mentor Professor Berend. Her thesis focuses on disengagement among college students and explores the nuances of the current rise. As soon as she graduates from UCLA, Alexis plans to go to graduate school to further her studies. She is passionate about her plans and has many interests with an end goal of helping inner-city communities and teaching the youth.
Outside of research, Alexis is now a CCCP Peer Advisor at UCLA, developing strategies to help community college students transfer to University.
