Jeremy Zwick

Jeremy Zwick is a fourth year history student studying the environmental history of America’s National Parks. Born and raised in San Diego California, Jeremy has taken his research across the country to Yosemite, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton National Parks. His research looks specifically at early National Parks in the American West, how they came to be, what they mean to American society, and how they have been affected by the unique struggles and cultures that embody and surround them. His research hopes to uncover the influences and contributions of historical and geographical attitudes of both European and Native groups on the formation of America’s Crown Jewels. He hopes to amplify the forgotten legacy of Indian removal and westward expansion in the history of the parks service and take his research into graduate school and possibly the National Parks Service.
