Kelsie Fischer

Kelsie Fisher is a fourth-year double major in Public Affairs and Statistics and Data Science at UCLA. She is completing a Public Affairs departmental honors thesis under the guidance of Dr.
Evelyn Blumenberg, a professor in the Urban Planning department. Her research project is a mixed-methods study of vehicular homelessness in Los Angeles, specifically the differences between living in cars versus oversized vehicles. Using both statistical and qualitative approaches, she is exploring underlying differences in socio demographics and lived experience within these communities. She seeks a career in utilizing a variety of research methods to answer emerging questions that will inform public policy over important social issues.
