Nirinjan Khalsa

Nirinjan Khalsa is a fourth year Anthropology major and English minor at UCLA, pursuing both College and Departmental Honors. She is the secretary of the Undergraduate Anthropological Association and the chief layout editor for Aleph, and undergraduate research journal at UCLA. Her current research on the production of Rajasthani block printed textiles focuses on the changing embodied experiences of artisans due to globalization. After graduation, she intends to continue her research and attend Graduate School for Anthropology with a focus on South Asian textiles and culture. Additionally, she would like to gain experience in museum preservation and curation, work with non-profit humanitarian organizations, and become a college professor.
