Naomi Kisel is pursuing a concurrent B.A. in Political Science and Russian Studies. She
anticipates graduating this spring with both College and Departmental honors. Her present
research, under the guidance of Steven Spiegel, analyzes the effect of partisan polarization on
public support of Israel in the United States. Within the broader Democratic and Republican
parties, she is specifically analyzing trends among Progressive Democrats, Jewish Democrats,
and Conservative Christians. Following the completion of her B.A., Naomi will pursue a
graduate degree in International Relations. She hopes to work on US foreign policy in Eastern
Europe, Russia, and the Middle East.
