Julianna Ehm
Julianna Ehm is a senior, majoring in psychology and minoring in global studies. Her departmental honors thesis focuses on biological sex differences in 22q deletion and duplication disorders. Her research journey began by assisting an ongoing psychosis treatment program under the direction of Keith Nuechterlein PhD, Kenneth Subotnik PhD and Joseph Ventura PhD. At the UCLA Health psychiatry clinic, The Aftercare Program, Julianna established her interest in clinical psychology research. In her final year she is ecstatic to work with Carrie Bearden PhD, studying the diagnostic sex bias of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) through a neurodevelopmental and genetics lens. She hopes to contribute towards our understanding of the Female Autism Phenotype through a study of neurocognitive, fMRI, and behavioral sex differences at the Bearden lab. She plans to pursue her passion for brain and behavior research through completing a PhD in clinical psychology after graduation.
