Traja Golightly

Traja Golightly is a fourth-year Psychology and Gender Studies double major at UCLA. As a nontraditional transfer student, she has pursued various research opportunities during her undergraduate studies. Her research interest was ignited in Winter and Spring 2024 when she was accepted into the Undergraduate Research Fellows Program (URFP). This led to her receiving the Department of Gender Studies Research Excellence Award for her work on “OnlyFans: Artificial Intelligence in Digital Sex Work.” In her final year at UCLA, she was awarded the Keck Humanistic Award, which will enable her to expand on her previous research. She plans to address the gap in research on sexual script development in the era of artificial intelligence, aiming to gain insights into the psychosexual development of adolescents by testing emerging adults’ visual information literacy to determine if they can distinguish between human and AI. Traja hopes that this research will lay the groundwork for her future research inquiry.
