Anna Tong
Anna Tong is a fourth-year Linguistics & Computer Science and Cognitive Science double major. Her research aims to investigate patterns in the language used in trauma narratives. Specifically, her current project utilizes computational models to analyze various linguistic components (syntactic, semantic, and structural) of mass trauma narratives to discover potential similarities and differences that may exist. Trauma has historically been researched psychologically and through this project, she hopes to further study trauma from a more interdisciplinary and linguistic perspective. After graduation, she plans to continue research in the computational and psycholinguistic fields through graduate studies, focusing on the intersection of linguistics and computation in the context of therapy and trauma.
