Hanna Belcher

Hanna Belcher is a fourth-year undergraduate from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She expects to graduate in Spring 2022 with a B.A. in Political Science, with a concentration in comparative politics and a minor in Entrepreneurship. Hanna is completing a Political Science departmental honors thesis under the faculty mentorship of Professor Dan Thompson, researching how the political party of state representatives will affect healthcare spending, specifically discretionary Medicare and Medicaid spending. She hopes to explain what forces shape US healthcare policy at the state level. Additionally, Hanna is involved within UCLA Panhellenic, Bruin Women in Business, Bruin Entrepreneurs, and UCLA Hunger Project.
