Isabella Page
Isabella Page is a fourth-year Political Science major with a minor in Public Affairs. She received a scholarship as a sophomore as part of the Undergraduate Research Fellows Program, and is now participating in the Undergraduate Research Scholars Program as a senior. Her earlier research on the U.S. embargo against Cuba brought her to Havana to conduct field interviews, where she became interested in the country’s socialized healthcare system. Her departmental honors thesis focuses on Cuba’s fixation with achieving an incredibly low infant mortality rate, how the government has gone about achieving that goal, and what the implications of this fixation are. After graduation, Isabella plans to look for work experience at a think tank or NGO in Western Europe before eventually returning to school to pursue a Master’s degree or PhD.
