As an undergraduate scholar, Han is passionate about studying human behavior, society, law and culture. Her interdisciplinary academic path combines literature and psychology, with her senior thesis focusing on modern digital surveillance and its socio-political implications. Drawing from Franz Kafka’s works, Han explores how literary representation of surveillance, control and anxiety can provide insights into the psychological and social conseuqences of contemporary surveillance systems. After graduation, Han plans to take a gap year or two to work as a research or teaching assistant before pursuing graduate studies to further explore the intersection of psychology, literature and technology.
