Mario Peng Lee

Mario Peng Lee is a fourth-year international student hailing from Argentina. He is currently pursuing a double major in Linguistics & Computer Science and Psychology, along with a minor in Data Science Engineering. Mario’s passion lies in bridging the gap between people and technology, utilizing interdisciplinary techniques to bring about innovative solutions. For his thesis, Mario is focused on optimizing language learning technology. His research delves into the psychology of learning, metacognitive strategies, machine learning, and human-computer interaction. He is fortunate to have the guidance and mentorship of Catherine Sandhofer and Amalia Ionescu from the Language and Cognitive Development Lab. Mario’s ultimate goal is to create a positive impact by making technology more accessible, inclusive, and relevant to the challenges faced by today’s society. Mario aspires to use his unique background and interdisciplinary knowledge to contribute to the advancement of technology and its applications in our rapidly evolving world.
