HUMANITIES, ARTS, AND SOCIAL SCIENCES ORAL PRESENTATIONS: MONDAY, MAY 18, 2020

Apply to participate: Abstracts due April 15, 2020

  • Due to space limitations, students applying to give oral presentations must first have been nominated by their department. Students who have been nominated will receive e-mail notifications of their nomination by the end of March. If you would like to be nominated, ask your faculty mentor or departmental counselor about the nomination process.
  • To access the application: go to myUCLA and choose “Campus Life” then “Survey.” If you do not see the application but have been nominated by your department, please contact the Undergraduate Research Center (information below).
  • All students giving oral presentations will be individually recognized at the Dean’s Prize Ceremony and Reception in the Powell Library Rotunda.
  • Be sure to read the Abstract Guidelines and Presentation Guidelines. The Undergraduate Research Center is also offering abstract and presentation workshops to help you create your abstract and presentation.

RESEARCH POSTER DAY: TUESDAY, MAY 19, 2020

Apply to participate: Abstracts due April 15, 2020

Apply for a Dean’s Prize (optional): April 20, 2020

  • Juniors and seniors giving posters during Research Poster Day are eligible to apply for the Dean’s Prize for outstanding undergraduate research at Research Poster Day. Dean’s Prize winners will be individually recognized at the Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences Reception and Awards Ceremony. Please click here for more information.

MULTIMEDIA SALON: WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, 2020

The multimedia salon is a new event that will showcase the work of students doing creative projects or who wish to present their work in non-traditional formats.

  • Due to space limitations, students have been nominated to participate by select departments and research programs.
  • All students presenting at the Multimedia Salon will be individually recognized at the Dean’s Prize Ceremony and Reception in the Powell Library Rotunda.
