Aleph publishes UCLA undergraduate research in the humanities and social sciences. Run by undergraduates, Aleph offers UCLA students an opportunity to get published or to join the staff and learn about publishing.

GET INVOLVED

Join the staff. Aleph staff members enroll in Research Practice 192B (2 units, P/NP) in winter and/or spring quarters. Attend the first class meeting to get involved or look for an information session (typically held in mid-November) to learn more.

Publish your work. All students who have written their manuscripts while enrolled as undergraduates at UCLA are eligible to submit to Aleph. Students may submit their UCLA research work for consideration up to one year after graduation. Please note that Aleph does not have a rolling review process. Manuscripts may be submitted at any time during the year, but Aleph staff only review manuscripts for its annual volume during the winter quarter. The deadline to submit manuscripts for the annual volume is always in early January. Please check out Aleph on eScholarship; from there you can submit your manuscript and view submission guidelines and deadlines.
