The Undergraduate Research Center for the Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences is committed to assisting our students with virtual support and resources.

RESEARCH DURING REMOTE LEARNING

Effective June 1, 2021, the Research Operational Plan (ROP) program is no longer required for research and creative activities, both on-campus and in the field.

Click here for more information regarding research ramp-up.

We advise students and faculty to develop a fair plan moving forward, and have put together suggestions and resources for how faculty-mentored student research may be conducted off campus during the spring quarter. You may also consult our Tips on Managing Research Remotely, which compiles and summarizes tips from a survey of north campus undergraduates who conducted remote research in spring 2020.
