Undergraduate Research Week showcases and celebrates undergraduate student research and creative projects. Open to all UCLA undergraduates engaged in research and creative projects, the week provides opportunities for students to present their work to the campus and broader community.

Research Poster Day: May 23, 2017
Apply to participate: Abstracts due April 15, 2017

  • All students are encouraged to submit abstracts to participate in the Research Poster Day portion of Undergraduate Research Week. To access the application: click here OR go to MyUCLA and choose “Campus Life” then “Survey.”
  • Through the same application you can apply for a UCLA Library Research Poster Grant (optional) to support the costs of research poster printing.
  • Be sure to read the Abstract Guidelines and Poster Guidelines. The Undergraduate Research Center is also offering abstract and poster workshops to help you create your abstract and poster.

Apply for a Dean's Prize (optional): Applications due April 20, 2017

  • All seniors are eligible to apply for the Dean's Prize for outstanding undergraduate research at Research Poster Day.

Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences Oral Presentations: May 25, 2017
Apply to participate: Abstracts due April 15, 2017

  • Due to space limitations, students applying to give oral presentations must first have been nominated by their department. Students who have been nominated will receive e-mail notifications of their nomination by the end of March. If you would like to be nominated, ask your faculty mentor or departmental counselor about the nomination process.
  • To access the application: click here OR go to MyUCLA and choose “Campus Life” then “Survey.”
  • All students giving oral presentations will be recognized at the Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences awards ceremony and will be eligible for the Outstanding Oral Presentation Award.
  • Be sure to read the Abstract Guidelines and Presentation Guidelines. The Undergraduate Research Center is also offering abstract and presentation workshops to help you create your abstract and presentation.
